Kaplan Meier (KM)

  • It is a graphical representation of the survival function. The Kaplan-Meier (KM) method is used to analyze 'time-to-event' data.
  • The objective of Kaplan Meier is to create an estimator of the survival function based on empirical data, taking censoring (loss of patients to follow-up and lack of complete history of patients) into account.
